Holiday cookies

There's nothing more festive and inviting than a Christmas cookie tray. We believe every tray should have a good variety. We propose a chocolate, a peanut butter, a shortbread, an oatmeal and a spice. Some of our favorite cookie recipes are below. Merry merry.



Peppermint Brownie Cookies ¾ cup semisweet chocolate chopped

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ cup unsalted butter

2 large eggs

¾ cup sugar

½ packed cup dark brown sugar

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 ½ teaspoons peppermint extract

¾ cup all-purpose flour

¼ cup crushed peppermint candy

Melt semisweet chocolate and 1/4 cup cocoa powder with melted butter. Whisk eggs, sugars and salt. Stir in glossy chocolate mixture. Add remaining ingredients and stir, don't over mix. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Bang sheet on counter and sprinkle with peppermint candy. Bake 2 minutes more.


Boob Cookies 1 stick butter

3/4 cup peanut butter

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup sugar

1 egg

2 T milk

1 t. baking soda

1/2 t. salt

1 t. vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Chocolate kisses

Beat butter, peanut butter. Add sugars. Add egg, milk, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Gradually add flour. Bake at 375 for 8 minutes. Immediately add chocolate.


Sprinkled Shortbread 3 sticks butter

3/4 cup powdered sugar

1 t. vanilla or almond extract

2 t. baking soda

1/2 t. salt

3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2/3 cup sprinkles

Cream butter and sugar. Add extract, baking soda and flour. Fold in sprinkles. Divide into four even pieces and roll into logs. Chill for an hour. Slice into 1/2" cookies and bake at 325 for 10 minutes.


Oatmeal Cookies 2 sticks butter

1/4 cup peanut butter

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

1.5 cup flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

3 cups oatmeal

1 cup coconut (optional)

1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

1 cup nuts (optional)

Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs. Mix dry ingredients and add to the wet. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.



Gingerbread Cookies 2 sticks butter

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup molasses

2 eggs

2 t. baking soda

1 t. cinnamon

1 t. cloves

1 t. ground ginger

1 t. salt

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add molasses and eggs. Add dry ingredients. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
