These homemade crackers are very easy and customizable. And they make a lovely accompaniment to your cocktails.
1 cup all purpose flour
¼ tsp fine salt, plus extra for top
3 tbsp olive oil (2 tbsp in crackers, 1 tbsp to brush on top)
¼ cup water
Optional add-ins with the dough
1 scallion, minced
2 tbsp parsley, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
Za'atar seasoning
Cumin
Sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix the flour and salt. Pour oil and water over top and stir to combine. Bring dough together with hands and knead quickly to bring together.
Cut dough ball in half or thirds to have more manageable sizes for rolling out.
On a floured surface roll dough out very thinly (1-2 mm). Cut the dough into preferred shape. If you create long strips you can then break them into smaller pieces.
Place on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and desired spices.
Bake for 6-10 mins. Keep a close eye on them! They will burn quickly. Let cool and serve with favorite dip and a Spring44 Gin & Tonic!
